Melfred Borzall’s new “strong as an Ox” Ogre reamer rounds out their fluted line of reamers. This tough reamer, made for hard soil conditions including shale, sandstone, caliches and cobbles, features more carbide cutters than the competition. Each cutter takes off only ¼ inch more soil than the previous stage for smooth, efficient cutting. The angled jets shoot water opposite of reamer rotation, pushing loose material out of the bore direction. Combined with a slow taper and deep-spiraled fluting, the Ogre produces maximum mixing and pumping action. Though easy to rebuild, the Ogre features hardfacing on all wear areas, including conical carbide blocks in front to minimize wear on the shaft. Curved backup blades allow easier pushbacks. Made for large capacity rigs, the Ogre starts at 14” on a 3.75” heat-treated shaft, with larger sizes available. |

The new Steep Taper UltraBit is the bit of choice when you have jobs that require more steering and directional pushes in hard, compact ground. This bit features saw tooth carbide teeth that line the cutting edges and aggressive angles that come to a point, making directional pushes in hard, rocky conditions much easier. The Steep Taper UltraBit also features carbide impregnated hardfacing to resist wear. |
